Music Department

Before the Boys Grammar and Girls School were amalgamated in OLSC the Boys School had a strong tradition for producing Gilbert and Sullivan Operas. This affinity with school continued with productions such as The Ballad of Buzzard Creek, Smike, Yanemamoh and Joseph and his Technicolour Dreamcoat.

The School Concert Band was started in 1988 and has toured Europe extensively including France, Switzerland, Spain, Austria, Germany and Holland.

The Music department has a strong tradition for developing industrial skills and it has produced a number of musicians who have played in the Wolverhampton Youth Orchestra and Youth Wind Band.
